Nepal is a small, beautiful country with a vibrant capital city, colorful culture, friendly people and magnificent mountain scenery. The landscape ranges from the snow-capped Himalayas, including the highest peak in the world, to the lowland farms of the Terai region. A great part of the fascination of any trip to Nepal is to experience this transition, to explore the immense variety of the countryside in which the high peaks always form a backdrop that promises excitement and adventure. It’s a landscape that invites you to explore.

However, it does not require a lengthy stay to get the most out of the country. Our Real Nepal Tour offers a short twelve day journey that allows you to experience the interior of Nepal and enjoy the immense variety of its landscapes within a short period and with overnight stays in hotels with all the comforts of home.

Highlights of the tour include your first evening drive from Kathmandu to Nagarkot, and then an early morning start to witness the sunrise and the panoramic view of the Annapurna, Langtang and Gaurishanker mountain ranges. A drive to Bhaktapur, literally the ‘Place of Devotees’, in the Eastern Kathmandu Valley, is an introduction to the wonderful architecture of Nepal. The beautifully preserved temples and palaces of the old city is now a World Heritage Site. As a contrast, a hike to Balthali village higher up in the mountains offers a taste of the beautiful forested hillsides and terraces of the Himalayan foothills.

The tour continues with a hike to Namo Buddha, one of Nepal’s holiest Buddhist sites and a center for pilgrimages, famous also for the beauty of its hilltop setting and magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks. Another highlight is the drive to Pokhara, high up in the mountains and with a unique lakeside setting where, in the still of the early morning, you can watch the sunrise above the mountains beautifully reflected in the water. An early morning drive to Sarangkot and Tansen, and a Jungle Safari at Chitwan National Park, completes a full itinerary that gives you an unforgettable experience of this wonderfully varied country.
